Privacy Policy

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run your account and your solutions: your Google or login details, the code and settings you put into FuncHole, and logs of what your solutions do.
  • We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.
  • The website uses Google Analytics to understand visits, which sets analytics cookies. We don’t use advertising cookies.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time: [email protected].

Who we are

FuncHole Cloud is operated by Stoopid Computers (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit funchole.dev or use FuncHole Cloud at app.funchole.dev. It does not cover copies of FuncHole that you run yourself: if you self-host, you control your own data.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What we collect

Account details

When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and a Google account identifier. If you sign in with a username and password, we store the details needed to verify them. We also record when you signed up and which plan you are on.

Content you add to FuncHole

Function and flow code, published artifacts, environment variables and secrets, database connection details, domain names, and API keys you create. We store this so we can run your solutions and show them to you. The data your solutions collect from their own users is yours; see “Your own users” below.

Usage and logs

When your solutions run, we record invocation logs and request details such as time, route, status and IP address. We use them to run the service, show you what happened, and protect it from abuse.

Messages to us

If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply. We answer from a plain email inbox and do not use a separate support or newsletter tool.

Website analytics and technical data

We use Google Analytics to measure visits and see which pages people use. It uses cookies and similar identifiers, and may collect your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view. Google processes this data for us. You can block it in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Our CDN, Cloudflare, also processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. Loading the website also fetches fonts from Google Fonts and, to show the star count, calls the public GitHub API, so those services may see your IP address.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and provide FuncHole Cloud.
  • To run, deploy and expose your functions, flows and artifacts.
  • To keep the service safe, including preventing abuse, fraud and attacks.
  • To answer your messages and send service notices you need.
  • To understand how the product is used and fix problems.
  • To meet legal obligations.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run FuncHole, and only as needed:

  • Google, for sign-in with Google and for Google Analytics.
  • Cloudflare, for DNS, CDN and security.
  • Our hosting infrastructure providers, who store and run the service.
  • Google Fonts and GitHub, which the website contacts as described above.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people or our service, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case we will tell you.

Your own users

If you build a solution that collects data from your customers or visitors, you decide what is collected and why. You are responsible for telling those people and following the laws that apply to you. We process that data on your behalf to run your solution.

International transfers

We and our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep account data and your content while your account is active. Logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service. To delete your account and data, email [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days, except for what we must keep to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups are removed on their normal rotation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. California residents have similar rights, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. Email us to use any of these rights. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please use strong credentials and keep your API keys private.

Children

FuncHole is not meant for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the product.
